The CCRI New Media Group (nMg) was created to develop and cultivate the talent and technical skills of students with a common interest in digital media.
New Media refers to the digital ways of showing pictures and sounds. Video, audio, and images (photos and art work) are produced digitally in a way that they can be broadcast on internet web sites, social networking sites, blogs, podcasts and other ways still being developed.
The Club provides:
– Guest speakers so that students have a chance to hear what is happening currently in the industry.
– Chances to network with people who may become future employers or clients.
– Chances to work on projects or be part of internships that can be added to resumes and/or lead to future work opportunities.
– Learn what software is being used in the “real world” for movies, music recordings, documentaries and more.
– Network with other students to share tips and offer support and camaraderie.
